Last Talktalk bill is wrong

Why is it every time you leave a utility company they play funny.

This bill is  way too much.

I'm paying £21.09  a month plus £8.02 for calls for this month January.

However, last months bill was up to the 7th January which means I'm paying a month in advance!

This means that this bill should be from the 8th to the 16th which it says it is at £36.80 including £8.02 for calls up to the 7th February, but this is only the 8th January and the bill is due on the 16th January.

If my contract ends on the 18th, and I am  leaving on the 16th why am I being charged soo much?

Regards

Niall

@khazars670 When the account disconnects you are sent a message advising you to bring back the equipment if need hence you were advised to wait for that correspondence.

If you have written correspondence from TalkTalk advising you that you do not need to return the router then you should not worry about the return of the equipment. Thanks.

Hi Philile,

yes,  Sanelisiwe Ntuli, from Your TalkTalk team sent me two e-mails saying as the router comes from Shell  energy you don't have to return it, and if it came from TalkTalk you still don't have to return the router.

So I don't understand why this Mandisa has to but in when they don't know what they are talking about!

@khazars670 if the message from the TalkTalk says you do not have to return it, then that is okay.

I have received two e-mails saying I don't have to return the router, but some of you lot on this forum keep saying I do have to return the router!

See posts 12 & 15, seems Mandisa is the one who thinks it needs to be returned!

So which one is it?

I understand and I'm sorry for the confusion, what I can advise you to do is wait for the day to end and wait for the formal communication from TalkTalk once your cease completes today, the system will determine and you will be advised if you need to return the equipment or not. Thanks

Yes,

well an e-mail from Sanelisiwe NtuliYour TalkTalk team, stated I did not need to return the Sagemcom router from Shell energy because it was from Shell! Others however,  on this forum say I do!

@khazars670 Looking into your account I can see that the cease is only due to be completed today, once your service ends with us today our system will automatically determine whether you will be sent a returns bag or not depending on the type of equipment you have with us. TalkTalk will send a reminder email or letter along with a returns bag to you if it is determined that you need to return the equipment, please wait for this correspondence from TalkTalk.

@khazars670, the refund for the days you haven't used will be refunded to My Account, so not directly to your bank account.

Leave your Direct Debit details in place, as you'll use that to claim the money back to your bank account.

Only after receiving a bill for £0.00 is it safe to removed the DD details.

The Sagemcom router needs to be returned to TalkTalk. Once your account has been disconnected, please reply to this thread so we can arrange a return bag for the equipment.

Yes, that is correct, once your account is disconnected, we’ll send a final bill that reflects any credits due back to you.

So what do you do with the Sagemcom router, send it on to Shell?

So will I still be billed on the 16th January and then the bill will be revised and you pay me back the over charge in what February?

If you have a shell sagemcom F5359 router you will need to return the equipment if you have any other router there is no need to return it.
