Broadband Disconnecting for weeks

Hi All,

 

Really cheesed off with the service all has been OK for 13 years, now my broadband keeps disconnecting after 3 service chats online, they want me to order a WiFi extender at £80, (what has that got to do with the broadband itself) I am a Telecomms engineer with 40 years' experience, I have noticed when it does reconnect and I do a speed test its connected to a different server ISP location, so the exchange or router is moving the service on its own. I suggested a replacement router I would have to pay £30 for. I expect one for free as they are providing the service and it's their router. Time to leave this is not acceptable.

With a fault like this, the router is the first thing to suspect, so I've a new one on the way to you, to see if this helps.
