Thanks for confirming. It would be worth testing the router directly at the test socket for 24-48hrs as this will help to eliminate any internal wiring issues. Would it be possible to connect the router and phone at the test socket please so we can see how your connection compares in this set up?

My connection is via an extension that includes two filters. My router was replaced two years ago as it was believed the original was faulty. As I state all is fine now but why does my service have blackouts?

Hello,
Can I just confirm, is the microfilter and router currently connected to the test socket behind the faceplate at the moment? Do you also have an alternative router that you could test with please?

The line is fine as is the broadband now. I have a recently replaced socket that does test but around here Openreach are doing lots of fibre installation as well as tree branch clearance so I would presume my service could be effected by their works.
It is inermittent and bloody annoying

I'm sorry to hear this. I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault, however I can see some re-connections on the line. Is the voice service ok with no noise on the line? Does your main socket also have a test socket please?
