Can I use an ADSL +2 router?

Hi. I have the Sagemcom FAST 5364. I really don't like it. Its web interface is painfully slow, and tonight, it doesn't seem to be responding at all. It's still working OKay as a WiFi router. I've done a hard power reset, but I'm trying to set up a port forward. I'm stuck at

Notice how the page hasn't even completely refreshed.

Anyway, it's a dreadful web interface and I was wondering what other options I have. Can I use my old ADSL +2 router? I really liked it.

Thanks.

Morning,

If you've already tried factory resetting the router then we can send a replacement router for testing purposes to see how this compares. Would you like us to arrange this?

Thanks

Michelle

That's not terribly helpful.

I suppose my issue is that I don't know how my connection is categorised of connection I have. I think it's most likely VSDL (not quite fibre). Can this be ascertained from the fact that it's the Sagemcom router? How can I figure it out?

On an ADSL connection? Sure.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.
