I want to connect my Wi-Fi devices to my new TT router, but the setup is very different from my previous provider's format, so I need some help here.
I went to Wi-Fi Settings >Advanced Settings which shows my Ethernet devices are connected, and Wi-Fi 2.4 and 5GHz (with Main and Guest cog-wheels) with no connections. The main one doesn't seem to show anything for setup, whereas the guest one does. What is the difference between those two choices, and which one should I use to connect my devices?
I'm not familiar with computer jargon, so simple-worded advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you.

Thank you, Chris.
I was just about to let Keith know how I got on and, yes, I managed to figure out it was the Wi-Fi password needed.

Hi ÉIRE55,
Keith will mean the routers wifi password, this will be on a label on the back of the router. Not to be confused with the router password which is used to access the routers UI (settings pages)

Thank you for your response. I have a TalkTalk Wi-Fi Hub, version SG4K100174, Model number F5364.
I haven't tried to see if my devices can detect the new router's network name, as I didn't know that was possible. With my older router, I had to add them to the settings, so I suppose my next step would be to try and find out if my devices will (automatically?) detect it.
May I ask what you mean by "what happens when you enter its wireless password?" Do you mean the router password?
I'll go and switch on my devices and try to find a way of seeing whether they've detected my router, although I don't know where to start with that. Anyway, I'll give it a go and see what I can find out, then get back to you afterwards. Many thanks.

Exactly which make/model of new router do have? Can your devices detect the new router's network name, if so, what happens when you enter its wireless password. These details won't be the same as your old router by default. However, you can configure the new router to use the same network name & password as the old one.
When I know the full details of the problem, I can advise further.
