Do I need the engineer visit for broadband set up?

I have just signed up for Fiber 65 for the new apartment that I will be moving into and an engineer visit has been scheduled.  Do I really need an engineer to come to set up my broadband, can I not just plug the router in and go like every other broadband provider?

If the visit is to set up the landline, I have no interest in having a landline.

Hi Najc96

Is there a working master socket at the property?

@Najc96  if you already have a BT master socket in your property and that is still connected correctly to the phone line system then the engineer visit will only be to complete external work and unless they find an issue they should not need to enter your home.

You must have a landline for Fibre 65, that is how the service is delivered, you will have a working phone line but there is no need to plug in a handset.
