Does TalkTalk block websites like www.reddit.com?

I find that whenever I use my TalkTalk account to try to access www.reddit.com, that I am presented with the message:

This site can’t be reached

The connection was reset.

Try:

ERR_CONNECTION_RESET

Is TalkTalk blocking www.reddit.com at all? I do not believe that I use the various HomeSafe or other security tools TalkTalk provides. I am also connecting directly to TalkTalk via a router supplied by them, and am not using any proxy or VPN.

This problem occurs regardless of the browser I use.

I have corrected the link in my previous post and still I find that I cannot access https://www.reddit.com

The security settings in my account are still unavailable so I cannot fully check Homesafe.

I have also cleared down the history on one of the browsers I use, including all cookies. But it has made no difference.

@Martin84

https://www/reddit.com is incorrect, it should be  https://www.reddit.com

Thanks to the respondents. But:

It is not an issue of https because use of https://www/reddit.com returns the same message as above.

Any attempt to access the security settings of my account (currently) shows message:

There was a technical error

We’re sorry and working hard to resolve this. Please try again later.

As for cookies, I do not believe these to be an issue. This problem is present on two PCs I use from home where neither can connect to https://www.reddit.com.

BTW your link doesn't work because it isn't pointing to a secure domain i.e it should be https rather than http.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Hi, @Martin84

If you only believe that you don't use Homesafe, check it first.

I have only 'Virus alerts' ON in TalkTalk Homesafe. I don't know if the other 3 settings cause any problem.

I do read www .reddit.com, now and then. There are zero problems.

You might also go to your list of cookies in your browser, and delete all reddit.com cookies.

I don't have any problems, do you use HomeSafe?
