Hi, i've recently started playing online again on my ps5. The connection speeds download and upload are fine, everything works super fast but when i play a game online there is so much lag and interference that its unbearable to play. I've tried resetting everything and checked all my connections and even wired straight to the router to try to counter this but to no avail. My internet has always worked well ever since i got it but this is a problem i cant seem to resolve. I've connected to 4g on my phone and whilst speeds come up terrible and pings are high it actually runs much smoother than my internet connection somehow. I've read that it could possibly be something to do with a NAT type but i have no idea when it comes to any of that not very tech savvy. Someone please help me!

Hi Paschal94
The Huawei WIFI hub is on its way, please allow 24-48hrs for this to arrive.
Let us know how the connection compares with this router.
Thanks
Debbie

Yes if you think that would help then by all means go for it. Do you think that the router is the problem? There is no other way around it?

Hello,
Thank you. This will be the Sagemcom router. Would you like us to send the Huawei Wifi Hub instead to see how this compares? We would also send a router returns bag so that one of the routers can be returned.
Thanks

Hi,
Does the router have a bronze or black background behind the front router grill?
Thanks

How do I find out the make and model? It doesn't seem to tell me on the router. No I don't have another router.

Hello,
Ok, which router are you currently using? (make and model) Do you have an alternative router that you can test with please?
Thanks

No i'm using no adapters. Yes, but it will allow me to use all online features and all games download very fast etc, it is only when actually playing online I have problems. It can't be the other persons connection or a problem with the games either as it works fine through 4g. It has to be on my side.

Hello,
Thank you. These results look ok. Are you using any powerline adapters? Does this happen on all games?
Thanks

Hello,
Thank you. I've run a test on the line now which hasn't detected a fault and the connection stats look good. Please can you run a wired ping and trace route the next time this happens and post the results into the thread. Does this also happen at certain times of the day?
Thanks
