I'm unable to connect to the net. Issues is impacting my mobile and laptop.

MY DSL modem, a very old looking MT992, has a solid green DSL light. I can connect to the 192.168.1.1 admin page of the router, but not login. I understand these old routers were locked down.

I have no internet connection through the router via my laptop or phone.

Any suggestions on how I can troubleshoot further without logging into the router?

Should I get a new router anyway, is the MT992 still supported?

Hello,

Can you please update your community profile to include your:

  • Name
  • TalkTalk Telephone number
  • Alternative contact number

We'll then look into this further. Please do not post this information on this thread. Once you've updated your profile please post in your topic to confirm it's updated.

Thanks

Michelle

I have never had G.Fast, so I cannot be certain, try the power off for 30 mins anyway. What make/model of router do you have & what is the state of the light(s) on it?

According to MT992 the internet light goes out after a DSL connection is made?

That is a G.Fast modem, the internet light is out, which may be the issue. Please can you turn this off for at least 30 mins & retry?
