I have just received a message from CityFibre, asking me to sign a document authorizing them to install some internet equipment under my garden and house. I'm a little worried because I never asked for an upgrade of my service, and TalkTalk never told me anything about it. Any ideas ?

If they are just installing their cable network, it might be to reach other properties & nothing to do with TalkTalk. In that case, it is up to you to take this up with City Fibre.
