I have been getting speeds of 3mbs. No fibre as yet. Now only getting 1.3 to 1.5mbs which is below my contractual speed. What has happend.

Hi Keith

 

Router is a HUAWEI DG8041W-2

I am on fast broadband

Speed reported up until 7th July is 4mbs.

Wired connection with new cables to all equipment.

 

Speed has only dropped in last 48hrs to 1.1-1.3mbs.

Please can you elaborate by answering these few questions:-


1. What make/model of router do you have (if this is a TalkTalk router, these details will be on a label on the rear or underside of it)?
2. What package are you on?
3. What is the speed reported by the router when you log into it (normally on the initial dashboard)?
4. Are these speed tests done over wired connections (Ethernet), wireless or both?
