Master socket problem

I had a text from talktalk with a link to didwefixit and ended up here, so I hope somebody can help. I've had an issue with our telephone line and did a line check, which reported that there was a problem. I have since found that removing the front of the master socket and using a filter removes the issue and also increases our internet speed by 18%. My question is: How do I get a replacement front for the master socket or do I just leave the front off and just use the filter?

Hi @Copperhead when I had that problem I bought a replacement box, identical to the one I had and used the front. Using the filter is another solution.

Many online retailers supply telecoms sockets and faceplates.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don't worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.
