Mobile poor WiFi connection

Everything works well, laptop streaming services but not my mobile phone.

On Giffgaff data phone is fast.

Hi debrajaneibbotson,

 

Just to confirm, do you mean that your mobile works fine when connected to the mobile phone network, but not when connected to the Internet via your TalkTalk router?

The data speed you get from giffgaff has no connection with how your phone will perform using Talktalk wifi.

 

How does the phone cope in other wifi settings? Eg shops etc, with free wifi?

 

Have you run a speed test to it?

 

Go to the forum menu, and from help with your Service, choose Service Status Dashboard: My Connection. 

 

From there you can run tests on your line etc and view speed to the router  / devices etc.
