Just wondering, can I turn off my broadband when it's not in use for long periods?

If you go on holiday for a week or two, you can leave the router switched off, @Blahbara.

Otherwise it is really better left on. Frequent switch offs can imply disconnections which you don't want to affect overall speeds, if Dynamic Line Management misreads these.

Any updates are likely to happen overnight.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.
