New TT router when renewed contract

Hi.

 

I've recently renewed my broadband contract with Talktalk and have been sent a new router. It appears identical to my existing Sagecom router. Is there any benefit in changing my broadband from the older router to the new one?

Hello, Perplexed1, thank you for reaching out regarding your new TalkTalk router. The new router may have the latest firmware, which can improve performance, security, and stability. Even if the routers look identical, the new one may have enhancements or optimizations that could improve your internet experience. The new router may come with a warranty or support that your old one no longer has and also will have default settings that are optimized for your current broadband plan.

Hi @Perplexed1 give it a try, you can't lose anything.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries.
