Due to no fault of my own the telegraph pole I was attached to has been chopped down. Resolution is approx 23jan I dont have access to internet and need access I’m paying a lot of money for a phone broadband and tv service what can they do to keep me connected to internet whilst we wait. Others in street with different providers are getting mini hubs or unlimited data on mobiles but as my mobile is not same don’t think this is a feasible option. Need something that does not work off phone line. I’m unhappy customer currently

Hi
no internet the engineers are not going to sort till 23rd Jan. and by all accounts talktalk unable to help with keeping connected whilst we wait for work to be carried out. 31 homes affected with various providers and all but talktalk have managed to keep customers on the net work by providing mini hubs or unlimited data on mobiles.

@Steph10 please advise if you still having issues with your broadband?

TalkTalk no longer provide a mobile service and have no backup options in the event of network failure. You should be entitled to compensation for loss of service though, which should more than cover the cost of any additional mobile data you have to purchase.

Engineers already aware open reach not able to do anything till 23 Jan. call centre agents unable to do anything as they don’t have anything that can connect me to the internet which doesn’t use phone line. The solution of increasing data on my mobile so I can tether is not option and apparently even though talktalk has a mobile service they denied that as that was my other solution which was to send me a mobile with unlimited data which could then be stopped once situation is sorted not sure why for multibillion pound company this is so difficult. I’m fed up of going round in circles.

You can contact Openreach directly about this, but I suspect they are already aware.
