Old router

I’ve had the same router since joining TalkTalk about 7 years ago.

Recently, my broadband fails to produce fast speed, no matter the router position or how many devices are connected and using the WiFi.

Since my router is very old, I therefore postulate that it just can’t run as well as it should, troubleshooting not being able to diagnose the issue, therefore would like to be sent a new and uptodate model router for WiFi and fibre.

Hi Chris

That is great, thank you! I hope the issue is just related to the router being very old and worn, and speeds improve.

Thanks

OK, I've ordered a router, it should be with you within a couple of working days

Hi Chris,

The speeds have been up and down for the last week, ranging from 60mbps to 5mbps, especially happening in the evening and throughout the weekend.

Hi Chris,

Line test is passing and current sync speed is 76Mbps, what are your throughput speeds like?
