Hi all

I have a Huawei Echo Life dg8041w from  and as much as I try I cant get it to work .Am I missing something any help would do 

I used 8080 port on my other TalkTalk router

I can definitely help with port forwarding issues on all TalkTalk routers, irrespective of their support state. 

The TalkTalk Community has now moved to a peer-to-peer support model. This means that the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. @Radiokenny, the DG8041W is listed among devices that Talktalk no longer supports as it cannot supply firmware updates.

 

@KeithFrench may well be able to help with the current issue though.

 

If it's not working at all, Talktalk will issue a supported router [though you haven't mentioned what the other router is that you have already got, and haven't clarified where the Huawei came from].

 

If it still works, you'd be charged for a replacement, unless within 4 months of the end of your contract and want to renew.

Hi @Radiokenny 

 

Are you saying that you cannot get the DG8041W to work at all, or are you saying this is just a port forwarding problem? Assuming the latter, please can you PM me (to preserve your privacy) a screenshot of the port forwarding rule that you are trying to set up.
