Patreon content delivery network blocked?

Over the last week, whenever I try to access Patreon's website none of the images or other media (like podcast audio files) load. However when I access using a VPN, I am able to access them.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Patreon support suggested that TalkTalk might be throttling or blocking their content servers as I only experience this while using my TalkTalk connection on my laptop and phone but if I use a VPN or switch to data on my phone everything works as it should.

I have the exact same issue and it’s very frustrating. TalkTalk have said that their system has detected a virus within Patreon and the only way around this is to completely turn off Homesafe. I am now using a VPN to open any images within Patreon. I use Patreon on a daily basis for tutorials and getting to the point of considering changing broadband provider.

Thanks @Divsec - had totally forgotten I could swap to using Google's DNS, although it looks like using a VPN is going to be the way forward since we're using homesafe. Hopefully TT's DNS will get over their issue with Patreon soon.

Hi @herdivineshadow sometimes the TT DNS servers get some odd ideas and block sites, they usually sort themselves out fairly quickly. If you use homesafe or the TT online security kidsafe etc. it relies on TT DNS servers. If you don't a change to Google DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 is a quick and permanent fix.

Otherwise your VPN fix is the way to go.
