Please don't change WiFi Channel

My router keeps changing the WiFi channel to one occupied by a neighbour with a strong signal.   I think this is called 'WiFi optimisation' and I'd like it switched off.  I can see empty channels and I'd like to set it to one of those.

Thank you.  The channel has stayed where I put it.  Things are working better.  (The strong neighbour signal has also moved, but not on to mine (yet)).

Hi @RichardDL,

 

Assuming you have the Sagemcom Wi-Fi Hub then the support team here will be able to switch off Wi-Fi Optimisation for you. They will hopefully be able to pick this up when they return on Monday.

 

Note that if you ever do a factory reset of the router, or if the router takes a firmware update, this setting will get switched back on, so you would need to ask the team here to switch it off for you again.
