I'm trying to set a port forward rule to allow node-RED to publish MQTT messages to HIVEMQ from Home Assistant. When I put in the url address of the HIVEMQ broker it gives the message 'invalid ip address'. The port the broker sets is 8883 and I can't change this.
I can only think that the url is too long or too complicated;

Is there a way I can get this to work?
Many thanks

You are configuring this wrong, here is an example of everything you would need. You do not say if this port is TCP or UDP, so I have set this example for both. Then change the Internal host field to the IP address of the device that you are trying to forward this port to. I have used an example of 192.168.1.x, just change the x to the actual IP address:-

If you need any further help, let me know. The first thing I would need is a screenshot of the forwarding rule that you are trying to use.
