My vpn keeps disconnecting. Have exhausted all possible solutions with vpn company. Could there be a conflict between vpn software and Talktalk software such as the eero threat protection

Thanks for the info @Frankb, there should then be nothing to cause the VPN client to drop out. If there was something like Advanced Security being enabled, I would have thought that might prevent the VPN connection from establishing in the first place.  However, they shouldn't cause it to be intermittent. Proton do a good free VPN, but I have no idea if you can install it on your phone's OS.

Hi Keith

Without vpn my broadband and WiFi are fine thankfully. The vpn works fine on firestick. Had been working OK on my Huawei 2019 mobile up until last few months. I have disabled block ads and malware threats in eero as I thought it was conflicting with vpn security but made no difference. I may sign up with another vpn for a month to see if any difference . Thanks for all comments.

Hi @Frankb

How does the device that is using the VPN connect to the router, via wireless or Ethernet. With the VPN disconnected does the device drop out or is internet access OK?

One more thought: have you tried using third-party DNS servers?

Hmm, well NordVPN are hardly an obscure provider.

Are there any other settings on your eero which you have changed? Do you have any other security measures on your computer which could be the culprit?

Thanks for confirming.

I'll leave this now for support staff or @KeithFrench to consider further.

If you do try a different VPN, please let us know the outcome.

Thank you.

It's Nordvpn. Have already tried a long list of their suggestions. May try another vpn to see if it makes any difference.

Might be worth contacting your VPN operator or a forum for them.

What VPN are you using?

Maybe, but the only way to check is to turn off the advanced security and then test.

Let us know if it makes any difference or not.
