Had router fitted in kitchen where there was exsisting line , but cant use tv box without plugging to router , there is a socket in front room to out router but doesnt seem to have any connection , when line was put in will it just be the one in kitchen or does it enable all boxes in the house to connect the cable ??

It depends on how the extension socket in the front room is wired.

 

What kind of socket do you have in the kitchen, does it have two outlets on the faceplate ?

 

If so, the extension is probably wired as a "phone only" on the back of the faceplate so no internet devices will work on any extensions.
