Router flashing orange

Hello . So for the last 3 days I’ve had no internet at all and the router is flashing orange. I have tried unplugging resetting I tried new cables everything. I’ve been on the chat for 4 hours yesterday and then 3 hours on the phone and I’m getting absolutely no where they have literally told me nothing or offered any clue as to what could be wrong. Does anybody think it’s a broken router so I can go buy a new one? Cheers

Hi @Spikedog

The faceplate is alas your responsibility, just buy one (a certain online place sells them). However, there have been several types produced over the years, so make sure that you get the same one. Otherwise, it might not fit the back box or whatever you have.

Hi @Spikedog

Try moving the router to the test socket behind the Master Socket's removable faceplate. The staff on here will want you to try that anyway, to rule out a faulty faceplate.

Hi @Spikedog

That can be delivered either on Full Fibre or FTTC with copper to the house, which do you have?

Forum staff will also need to run tests, while you are at home, @Spikedog, to try to establish whether it's a router fault, possibly wiring your side of the master socket or something anywhere between the exchange and your house.

They'll be on here after 7am on Monday. Good idea to complete your community forum profile details for them to identify your account.

Hi @Spikedog

What type of package are you on:-

  1. Full Fibre
  2. Fibre To The Cabinet
  3. Traditional broadband (ADSL)

This will help determine the problem that you have and how to resolve it.
