I support several YouTube creators on Patreon. They send me content for members of their channels. I can access content from most of them, but there are one or two where I can only access part of their content when using TalkTalk. If I switch off my router and tether my phone to my PC, I can access all the content via the 4G phone network. (Lebara, using Vodafone or O2 ). When using TalkTalk the connection times out. The Patreon website support team say they have had issues with some ISPs and have added TalkTalk to their lists.

No worries, glad you got it sorted.  🙂

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link here: How to contact TalkTalk Broadband - Help & Support.

Problem solved by altering DNS settings on my Linux PC. Thanks for pointing me in right direction.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I have changed the DNS settings on my PC, which runs Xubuntu Linux 24.04, to use Quad 9's DNS servers with Google as a fallback. This involved editing a config file and restarting the networking. I can now access Mr Carlson's Lab on Patreon. As noone else in the household noticed any problems, I left the router settings alone.

Have you tried changing your router settings to use third-party DNS servers?
