VPN is not working

Hi 

 

Currently having some issues with connecting my works VPN. I did notice I was having some trouble a few months ago but was in the process of the pc being replaced so didn't do much about it. 

 

New PC wont connect, its been to our IT who have checked and it is set up all correctly, connects from other remote locations I've been to recently and also works if tethered from my mobile phone.

Looking at the various chats and discussing it with other TT users it looks like the router needs a update.

Sorry for not getting back to you - I an new to this online chat...

 

You can upgrade the firmware at any time you like if not done so already.

 

if you could let ,me know when its done I'll test the VPN

Apologies for this.

 

I will need to make a change to your router firmware, when would be the best time to do this?

 

We advise to leave the router switched on without being rebooted whilst we update the FW. This should take no longer than 15 minutes to update.

Hi @ClivePinnick,

 

If you have the Sagemcom Wi-Fi Hub then this will probably have been caused by the firmware upgrading to a new version.

 

What VPN software do you use, or is it the built in Windows 10/11 VPN ?

 

The support team here will be able to help, if you do have the Sagemcom they will probably be able to fix it by changing some router settings or changing the firmware, they will hopefully be able to reply tomorrow.

I am having the same issue, however received a new router today and my VPN is still not working.

 

Although the router I received today is the same as my original.
