WiFi Hub keeps disconnecting

Hi, iv been having a problem with my WiFi hub black.

For a couple of months everything with my service has been fine, amazing actually.

But recently over the past couple of months my WiFi hub keeps disconnecting after a couple of hours and I haven't found any way of fixing it.

It preodically kicks everyone's connection off before resuming a few minutes later and it's done it 4 times just today and I'm getting sick of it.

We've currently are waiting for a engineer to come over and check stiff out but the router has been making weird buzzing noises despite us just leaving it alone in a high elevated place.

We never turn it off. It's been really headache inducing. As well as it giving us slower than normal speeds recently.

OK thanks, glad to hear that there's been some improvement in stability. Line test is passing but showing a lot of reconnections on Saturday but seems to have improved since. Could you bump the thread tomorrow and we'll take another look

It's been a bit flaky and a bit slower but it hasn't been going off every couple of hours anymore.

Hi Nathan,

I'm sorry to hear that it's been dropping again, how has it been since your last post?

Hey Chris it's Nathan again.

I had to unfortunately make a new account on a new email because my other one let me crates a user name with spaces or iv just forgotten the username and it's not letting me back in no matter what k try.

Anyways, we are still having problems with the WiFi constantly disconnecting in our area.

Within the last 2 hours it's went off at least 3 times and my family is at its absolute wits end.

Hi Chris, it's Nathan again.

The router has started disconnecting and reconnecting a lot today and I'm not sure what's going on.

We haven't added anything new and haven't changed anything since the engineer had been over here. This is frustrating.

I'm trying a 20 minute turn off and turn on again.

There's work being done around our house in our area on installing the fibre lines and stuff. By a company called talent? I'm not sure if that could be the cause of the disconnects every now and then

Do you think this might only be temporary?

Thanks for letting me know!

I apologize if iv been a bit annoying when approaching this.

I have very bad anxiety when it comes to this stuff and when things changed from being normal before to now it worried me quite a bit.

You've been awesome for dealing with me for the past couple days.

DLM did change your profile to yesterday to a slightly faster one which should improve performance a bit

You're correct, but iv been checking this little graph way longer than what it shows.

Around the time everything started going wrong.

Hi Nathan,

Not sure if I'm misreading it but looks to me as though it's only gone down from just over 60Mbps to just under 60Mbps.

Hi, I was checking my routers speed through speed tests daily and when I went down to check the little chart I found this.

Over a period of around 2 weeks it's steadily went down from 74MB to 55MB tops.

I'm not sure how clear that is in the photo, but you can definitely tell it's below the dotted line

Morning,

Ok thanks. We'll check back in a couple of days to see how the speeds have been and if they have remained consistent.

Thanks

I don't actually have really any devices close enough to the router to use an ethernet cable on.

But that would be something to try.

Hi Nathan,

Glad to hear that you've seen some improvement. Your current sync speed is 80Mbps, throughput speeds are always lower than sync speed and wireless throughput speeds are usually lower than wired throughput speeds. If you run a couple of speed tests on a device connected to your router by Ethernet cable what sort of speeds do you get?

Hi Chris, since the two engineer visits iv had in the last week things have seemed to have gotten better.

There's one particular thing I don't understand although which is getting to me a little bit.

Here is my speed on my router.

Screenshot_2022-05-03-08-11-24-585_com.android.chrome.jpg

It's really good and running way faster that iv ever seen it go.

But when I use a speed test, even if it's in the same exact room as the router. The max I get is still under that and 60MB.

Do you know why that would be? Iv seen the router send out speeds of around 73Mb before.

But now the max I can seem to get is

Do you think I could be a problem with the router?
