Hi
Have just had my connection upgraded to FTTP and received a new talktalk router WiFi Hub 2
I have a home device that requires 2.4Ghz support to operate and am having a problem setting it up because my router isnt giving me that option (2.4Ghz) only 5Ghz.......am told this is a dual band router, can you give instruction as to how I can kick this option in so as I can get this device to work with its app
Many thanks

Hi Debbie
Ive finally managed to get the router to work on 2.4 Ghz as you described
I was not sure what you meant at first regarding splitting the bands and renaming them but with a little help also from the devices app I eventually got the router bands renamed/reconfigured as you described and recommended and was then able to get everything working as required.
This must be a problem with some devices not being able to work on the later 5Ghz band. I now understand why some routers show up twice as 5G & 2.4G on a network search
Ahh well you lie and learn👍😂
Many thanks again for your help and attention
Very much appreciated
Regards
Mick

Hi MickP54
No problem 🙂
I have split mine at home because my printer will only connect on 2ghz.
Open your browser and type in 192.168.1.1 to go to the router admin page
Login with your router username and password. You’ll find these on the sticker underneath the removable settings card on back of your Wi-Fi Hub
On the Dashboard page, select the See Wi-Fi settings button
Now choose Manage advanced settings
Select Continue on the pop-up box
Choose Wi-Fi configuration
Type different network names into the Wi-Fi Name text boxes
To finish, select the Save button

Hi, thank you for your speedy response
No, I have done nothing with it yet, I thought it best to get some instruction before i start fiddling😂
It was set up by the engineer on installation a couple of days ago
Can you advise how I carry out this operation
Many thanks

Hi MickP54
Just to confirm have you split the SSID's in the router settings? (admin page)
