Work website blocked even with VPN

Hi talk talk have blocked a vital website that my work provide.

I have contacted my work support and they have done all the checks and it is talk talk blocking the website, furthermore internet cafes allow the use of this website.

I have used the talk talk chat and followed steps to allow the website through safe search. But the web address is as such: example.example.com and talk talk revert it to example.com which is wrong and will not work.

Apparently this community is the only way for my account to be remotely accessed.

Thank you, this is vitally important.

There is often a problem with VPN for Talktalk users, @Lulud.

That's probably getting closer to what needs to be addressed by staff.

Hi,

Thank you,

Probably wasn't very clear in my thread post, but this is a work provided website, it needs to be connected to my company VPN.

If I go to other internet cafes and use other broadband providers this site works fine with the VPN. It is on talk talks side, I have been in discussion with my companies IT department over this already.

Hi

Thanks for the PM with the site address.  I think this is an issue with the site itself.

I've tested the link from my home connection using Google DNS, this will bypass TalkTalk homesafe etc,to rule that out.  I've also tested via mobile using another network, and the site cannot be resolved.

I've used a few online tools to check for DNS listings etc, and these are unable to list any details, I can only find a listing for the base domain.

Karl

Hi Karl,

I tried the private message feature on Talk Talk community. There is no area for entry of message.

Sorry, I could only see a reference to "safe search", which can refer to almost anything, rather than Homesafe, in your original post, @Lulud.

The only remote access community staff use is for testing your line, switching off wi-fi optimisation or pushing through firmware updates.

Hi

TalkTalk don't block specific websites unless directed to, by court order. so we will not be blocking the site specifically, but could be caused by another issue or incorrect DNS entry etc.

Can you drop me a PM with the full url of the webite so that I can take a look.

Thanks

Karl.

Yes as I said in the post the talk talk support chat told me to change the settings in home safe. To turn off scam protection and kids safe on but allow the web address. And as I said it wont allow an address like this an an entry: example.example.com

Hi

Have you checked any homesafe settings as advised, or tried adding the website to the allow list in homesafe ?

Can you update your community profile with your phone number or account number so I can locate your details ?

Thanks

Karl.

I've removed the duplicate post, @Lulud, as this board may be reached sooner, but all staff are off now till the morning.

Have you checked settings in Homesafe?
