Account closing in 3 months but already can’t send emails

I have been informed by TalkTalk that my email account will be closed in 3 months as I no longer have TalkTalk broadband. However, just one day after being told this I am already having trouble sending emails from my TalkTalk account. Every time I try and send one I get a message saying the email address I’m contacting is invalid. Has my email account been shut down already? I seem to still be receiving emails ok.

Hi @Clairef3 I have reviewed your closed account and can confirm that it was disconnected on November 22, 2024. The communication you received clearly indicated that if you do not sign up for Everymail by July 28, 2025, you will lose the ability to send emails. However, you will still be able to log in to your account and receive and read your emails.

It is crucial to understand that if you do not complete your sign-up by September 8, 2025, you will no longer be able to access your email account through your internet browser. Additionally, if you have not signed up by October 31, 2025, your email address will be permanently closed, and all associated data will be irretrievably deleted.

We strongly encourage you to take action before these deadlines to ensure continued access to your email services or to retrieve your data as soon as possible. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

That happens I'm afraid if you not been paying for your email addresses since leaving TalkTalk. The 3 month period is to allow you enough time to move your existing email content elsewhere.
