Hi
I am a TalkTalk customer. I have a onetel.com email address.
I received an email from TalkTalk to sign up to Everymail Email Experience.
Howebver, I am stil a TalkTalk Fibre customer, so isn't the emaiol service still free?
Why isn't my onetel email address linked to my TalkTalk account?
How can this be done, so my Onetel email remains active?
Regards

Who knows? But as this is not in respect of your initial query perhaps you, or the family member concerned, might do better to start a new topic if you want to pursue these other questions?

Yes, that I know. It seems TT are not bothering to implement with VoIP in many areas. It is definately available on City Fibre lines as Vodafone offer it and on BT lines as BT offer it. It seems a choice of TT to go to bare bones data only and dump email too.
TT simply do not offer Full Fibre with VoIP in my family's area (nor mine). They offer data only.
I wonder what happens if one is on TT Fibre and Open Reach switch off copper (I bet they will not for years) and TT cannot offer voice - would TT let one move to another provider such as Vodadfone, BT or Sky, who all offer it, without a penalty?

Full Fibre data only packages do not have a phone service included, as the name of the service suggests. You have to specifically order Full Fibre with VoIP. If the family member on whose behalf you ask has copper landline based service then they can continue with that until such time as Openreach finally remove it.

Nothing there at all. Very few FAQ.

Good question, @CherryPicker9999, re if you leave and then want to come back to Talktalk, does the old Talktalk associated address get reconnected with Talktalk after having been switched to Everymail while with another ISP....
There may be something about it in Everymail's own FAQs.

I do not believe they offer VoIP in all areas with full fibre.
They certainly do not in my area or my mother's area.
When checking online, it said it was not available and has been the same for over 1 year now.
Even Virigin does not offer it. Vodafone (using City Fibre) , BT and Sky does in the area.
Message:
"We’re sorry but at the moment our Full Fibre data only packages don’t support a landline."

TalkTalk do offer VoIP services, but only to those on full fibre.

Hi
What is the TalkTalk policy regarding legacy email accounts and coming back to TalkTalk.
Assume someone leaves TalkTalk and has legacy email accounts and pays Everymail monthly.
Then, if they move back to TalkTalk would the legacy emails be free or do they still have to pay Everymail?
Once Everymail is paid, is that it - never free with TalkTalk?
I am asking for a family member and their contract will expire soon, but TalkTalk do not offer VOIP phones, even though Vodafone, BT and Sky do in her area. She needs the "landline" number. It seems TalkTalk may never offer VOIP in many areas.

Not really, @CherryPicker9999.
Email addresses external to Talktalk's are much preferred for billing / My Account purposes.

Hi
I did complete a request to link email addresses on this forum and and was told it was submitted.
Is it better to change the linked email address on the TalkTalk account from a gmail to a legacy TalkTalk email address (e.g ??????onetel.com) so the link is clear?

Thank you for confirming this to us @CherryPicker9999. So since you are currently an active account holder with TalkTalk and have received an email with regards registering to Every Mail. I will strongly advise for you to wait as there will be communication shared to all clients who currently have an active broadband plan with TalkTalk.

Yes, I could re-register.
But very odd the support centre claim a email address was never associated with the account
A gmail account waa always used for log in and I had downloaded invoices for months after logging in.

@CherryPicker9999 were you able to log in after doing the re-registration?
on 25-07-2025 11:27 PM
Did this cause an issue with my account?
I could not log in and the system claimed my account was not registered.
I had to re-register my account with the gmail account I was using to access my TalkTalk account and dashboard and download bills etc.
It is astonishing my account was suddenl no longer registered.
Text codes were received at my gmail address, but my mobile was not registered.

I understand your situation, but I can only conduct tests when you are at home, as you will need to check certain things. Being at home enables a more efficient and effective resolution. Please contact us once you are home, and we will proceed with the tests.

Hi
I am not at home. You can run tests if you wish.
They all show fine when I run.
No dial tone. Phones do not ring.
If I call the landline from a mobile it just rings.
I want it to go to my own answerfone. It will not!
Many OpenReach vans have been in the area (at one time there were 8 vans). I suspect inadvertent actions at the exchange box at the top of the road has caused an issue.

I understand @CherryPicker9999, and I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing an ongoing issue. I can run some tests with you now. Are you at home at the address where you're having the problem? This will help us proceed with the tests.

Thank you.
You could help me resolve an issue with no dial tone on my landline for months and escalate to the correct department.
Tests show no issues. I contacted TT and was told the would run tests and get back to me. but nobody ever did.
I tried all the trouble shooting including at the Master Socket. I used different handsets from other properties etc.

Perfect! @CherryPicker9999 You have added a private note on your profile with 3 email address, and I have completed the web form to ensure your email addresses are all linked to your broadband account, as you have an active account. I want to reassure you that I have copied all 3 emails exactly as it appears in the notes. Your email will be linked to your broadband account. There will be no charges associated with this and your email addresses will not be closed. Is there anything else I can assist you with?
