Can't send email - no access to email transport server 127.0.0.1

I can receive email but not send it.  Requests to send time out with a message to the effect that I can't access the email transport server 127.0.0.1

Hi murray48, the incident was fixed yesterday. Your mail should be working normally now.

This has also been  happening to me since Sunday morning. Had no problems sending emails yesterday.Now get same transport server message.

Not knowing the details of how you are doing this, but 127.0.0.1 is only ever available on the device (possibly just Windows) that you are running this from. You would need to send this to the relevant public IP address on the internet.
