Can't sign up to TalkTalk Email

Hi

How do you join TalkTalk mail as a new customer? I am a customer for broadband but keeps taking me to the Mailbox manager but it won't let me in using my current email and password which is external to TalkTalk... I would like a new email and since TalkTalk provides a service, I thought I might as well use it.

@Haydend403, Talktalk prefers customers to use external email addresses for billing and communications or associated with this forum etc.

Their own email system has been fraught with difficulties in recent years, and they keep handing responsibility for it to different companies who don't seem to get to the bottom of the issues.

If you eventually leave Talktalk and then want to keep your Talktalk email address, after a few months you would need to subscribe to it in particular @ £5 per month etc.

It's worth having a think about whether it's worth your time setting it up.

Another drawback is, when abroad, you can receive emails but not send from certain locations that are associated with Spam etc. So for travel purposes you are safer using the free Gmail/ Hotmail/Yahoo or whatever that work in most parts of the world.
