tinyworld and tiscali emails not sending again, same error code as the last four times:

550 5.7.1  Reject for policy reason

This is the same as the last 4 debacles after it had supposedly been fixed. Still no explanation as to what was wrong or acknowledgement from 'the top' that there is an issue.

It is becoming impossible to rely on this when the service is so poor.

Is it possible to obtain a refund from talktalk after paying for an email service which is so flakey?

Here's the error message email returned from system administrator with personal details obfuscated after I have sent an email from either my tinyworld or tiscali email.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:     Cancel visits for xxxxx

      Sent:  29/05/2025 20:04

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

      'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx' on 29/05/2025 20:04

550 5.7.1  Reject for policy reason

This has happened about 4 times in the last 6 months and issue resolved each time so there is a resolution to this problem but it keeps returning.

Its not really a fix asking me to start using a new ISP email, is it, more of a cop out? I have too many sites registered using my tinyworld email it would be a pain to change then all.

Cheers,

Would anyone be willing to offer some sort of explanation of this nonsense error message?

The issue is that the message does not identify the entity, whose policy it is, and doesn't give a iota of what that policy is.

Is it referring to the sender's policy, the sending server's policy, or one of the receiving server's policy?

Hi @macca1968 your post has been escalated, but a quick and permanent solution would be to develop a new non ISP dependant email address. This would give you flexibility when, as we all do, you decide to try another ISP.

I've tried and I'm back here!

I don't work here and all my opinions are my own.
