Thank you for your update. As your email issue occurs when using the EmClient application, we’re unable to run checks on third-party software. If you were experiencing the same problem when sending emails via TalkTalk Webmail, we would be able to investigate further.

Thank you for advising that you cannot resolve the problem that I am experiencing with not receiving email sent by me to my own address when using EmClient.

I have forwarded your comments to EmClient.

@Iambaffled2, I have removed the email address that had been displayed in your last post.

@Mandisa-TT, please note, this sort of information must never be left displayed in the public thread!

Gliwmaeden2, a fellow customer.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.

I understand @Iambaffled2

Thank you for confirming those details and for testing with other recipients. Based on what you’ve shared, it seems the issue only occurs when sending emails to yourself via eM Client, while all other emails (both sent and received) are working fine.

This behavior can sometimes be linked to how email clients handle messages sent from the same account.

We are unable to run any checks since you are using a 3rd part to access your email and you are not experiencing the issue when you are using webmail.

Following your last email I have sent 2 emails to one friend and 1 email to another.  All 3 were received and acknowledged as being received by sending me return emails.  Additionally I have today received various emails from other parties.  All were sent ####

I will not be able to say if other emails have been sent but not received - and may never know this!

I hope this further information helps.

I will add that as we are coming up to the Christmas holiday period I do not want anything done that will further interfere with the operation of my email.  I hope that you understand my concerns.

@Iambaffled2

Send an email from eM Client to a different email address (not your own) and check if it arrives. This will help us confirm if the issue only occurs when sending to yourself.

Hello Mandisa

I have checked (as did EmClient) when they had access to my PC that the emails to myself via EmClient were not 'landing' in the Inbox or any other folder.  They (EmClient) are as puzzled as I am.

Prior to this happening I had done nothing at all to the account settings.  These settings appear to be in accordance with the information given by TT some time ago.  These are: In mail server mail.talktalk.net, encryption SSL/TLS (used automatically 'use TLS on special port), SERVER PORT (FOR pop3) 995.  Out mail server: smtp.talktalk.net, encryption STARTTLS, SERVER PORT 587.

@Iambaffled2 I understand how frustrating this can be

Check Spam/Junk Folder: Please check if the emails might be going to your spam or junk folder in eM Client.

Thanks.

1  In EmClient if I send an email to myself it does not arrive in my inbox in EmClient

2 However, if I send an email to myself in Webmail it does arrive in my Webmail inbox

3 If I swnd an email to myself from Webmail it does appear in my EmClient inbox.

EmClient spent about 1 hour remotely on my PC and they concluded that the issue was with TT

Used TT's bot this morning 'whoever' agreed it was probably a TT server issue.  TT terminated contact before issue resolved! Had not got the heart this morning to start all over again.  Limited time at present so may not be able to give immediate response to any reply.

Hi @Iambaffled2 can you try to access your email using TalkTalk webmail and send and email to yourself and let me know if it is not landing on your inbox?
