Email problem

I have two TT mailboxes: (1) xxxxx and (2) yyyyyyy I use Classic Outlook as my email program.  Mailbox (1) works fine, mailbox (2) (exclusive to my wife) has stopped receiving messages a week ago. The odd thing is that messages for her (mailbox 2) appear in TT Webmail, but NOT in Outlook. I tried chatting to TT, but they say they cannot help with what is obviously an Outlook problem. The email password is correct, the port settings for POP are correct (both emails in Outlook are set to POP; the "...yyyyy" address is set to IMAp on my phone; messages not received there either).

Any ideas?

Is there a reason you use a mixture of Pop and Imap? Opening in Pop will normally delete the mail from the server once downloaded, but Imap will keep it on the server until you delete it. Maybe the mix is causing confusion?

If there is an issue with the account in Outlook, then the advice is usually to delete the account and re-add it. If you do, I suggest you set as Imap. It might then be worth deleting and re-adding the account on the phone.

As you've been informed, staff will normally only provide help for Webmail, which appears to be working ok, and not third party clients.

Pease let us know how you get on.

@arfc42, please follow forum guidelines: never post personal information details in the public thread.

You need to complete your community forum profile by going via your avatar; settings; add your Talktalk phone number or account number in Personal Information. In Private Notes, further down that page add the details of the email addresses. Scroll even further to find the blue button to SAVE CHANGES.

Staff will respond after the weekend.
