A week ago all the emails that my son had sent me over the past year got moved into my Spam folder, and since then every email he sends now goes straight in there. I've tried clicking Not Spam, and the email briefly disappears before reappearing back in my Spam folder 10 seconds later. I have even tried setting-up a Rule so that all emails from him get Copied into my inbox, but all that happens is that I now get 2 emails from him in my Spam folder. He's been using his Gmail address to send me emails for several years now but we've only encountered this issue in the last week. Reading through the forum it seems like other people have encountered similar issues, but I don't know what the solution is!

Hi Ady,
Just wondering if there's any update on this please, as it's still happening?
Thanks.

The only Filter (which I assume is the same as a Rule) in place was one I recently set-up which identified any email from my son's address, and set up an action so that the email was copied into my Inbox. But all that happened was each time he emailed me, I would end up with TWO emails in my Spam folder (the original one, plus the duplicate). So I quickly disabled that. So still no closer to solving this unfortunately...

Hi MaxWight, you'll find how to use filters in the Email help article.

I'm not aware of any filters applying to Webmail - where would I look?
Additionally, verification codes from SJP have also just started going into my Spam folder (they never did before last week), and I saw a similar thread on here when someone else recently had the same issue with their SJP emails...

Hi MaxWight, remove any filters you have from Webmail? If that doesn't resolve the problem then we'll have to raise a ticket for you.

Hi MaxWight, is his email address in your contacts list?

Hi @MaxWight that's good news about other recipients. The professionals will need to look at this for you and they will be back to work tomorrow.

I don't think that's the issue - all his other emails get delivered ok. It is only emails from him to me, that have recently started going into MY Spam folder. If only there was some way to add him to a 'safe senders' list!

Hi @MaxWight sounds to me as though your son has had his Gmail account hacked and without him knowing it is being abused.
How do other recipients get on with receiving his mail?
