Message 11 of 11

There is a problem with my husband's email. All his incoming emails are being filtered to the TalkTalk Junk folder instead of his Inbox. Can you. please correct this. His email address is (EDIT: XXXXXX Removed personal information) and he accesses via TalkTalk webmail.

Hi, @KeithFrench

TalkTalk don't have a 'Junk Folder'. They call it 'Spam folder'

'Not spam' just moves it to the Inbox. No one really knows what else it does.

Sometimes webmail/email clients need to learn what is junk & what is not. However, I cannot comment on this webmail, as I said I do not use it at all. I prefer Thunderbird. Still, wait & see what TalkTalk's support staff on this forum say.

He has to go to the Junk folder and click on "Not spam" all the time to move his emails to his Inbox. It seems as though some filter in advance of all this which is placing all emails into the Junk folder needs to be changed.

This forum can be viewed the world over and as such, his email address can be seen by anyone. You must never put any personal information in such an area. All personal information must be located within your Community Profile. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture and then clicking on "My Settings" followed by:-

I have just logged into my webmail & there is an option in the SPAM folder when you right click it to select "Not SPAM", but surprisingly not in the Junk folder.

How would the Service Centre know what to look at if you edited my husband's email address out?

My appologies I must have missed that bit. Not having used their webmail, is there an option at all to mark an email as "Not junk"? I have asked one of TalkTalk's support to pick your thread up and investigate it for you.

They aim to respond within 48 hours (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays, but if more urgent you can always try the Service Centre on 0345 172 0088. The posts are responded to in time/date order, oldest first.

To save yourself time, please make sure that your community profile includes your first & last names, broadband phone number & if possible an alternative contact number. This can be done by clicking on your Avatar picture and then clicking on "My Settings" followed by:-

Personal Profile > Personal Information

Otherwise, TalkTalk will not be able to tie up your forum username to your broadband account. Only you & TalkTalk have visibility of your details.

I already said he accesses his email via TalkTalk webmail. He doesn't use an email client, he goes directly to the TalkTalk web screen. All his incoming emails are going to the TalkTalk junk folder instead of his inbox. He has checked all his account settings and there are no entries in his Blocklist and can see no reason why this is occurring.

Hi @MaureenAndrew

I have removed your personal information, please put that in your community profile. How does he access his email, via Webmail, Outlook or Thunderbird etc?
