Every email comes through 3 times on my Samsung S20 phone.  Anyone have a solution?  It's really annoying.

Hi @H10psc158 You are using a third party to access your email and since you are not using your TalkTalk email our ability to assist is limited. If you're receiving duplicate emails from your TalkTalk account on your Samsung S20 through Gmail, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
 

1. Check Email Settings

  • IMAP vs. POP3: Ensure that your TalkTalk email account is set up using IMAP rather than POP3. IMAP syncs your emails across devices, while POP3 can lead to duplicates if not configured correctly. You can check this in the Gmail app settings.

2. Remove and Re-add Your TalkTalk Account

  • Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts.
  • Select your TalkTalk account and choose Remove account.
  • Restart your phone and then add your TalkTalk account back to see if the issue persists.

3. Clear Cache and Data for the Gmail App

  • Go to Settings > Apps > Gmail.
  • Tap on Storage and then select Clear Cache and Clear Data. This will reset the app, but your emails will remain intact.

4. Update the Gmail App

  • Ensure that your Gmail app is up to date. Go to the Google Play Store, search for Gmail, and check for updates.

5. Check for Multiple Accounts

  • If you have multiple email accounts set up in the Gmail app, ensure that they are not configured to sync the same emails. Having the same account added multiple times can cause duplicates.

6. Sync Settings

  • Go to Settings > Accounts and backup > Accounts > TalkTalk > Sync account and ensure that the sync settings are correctly configured.

7. Use Webmail

  • As a temporary solution, consider accessing your TalkTalk emails directly through our webmail interface until the issue is resolved.
