Everymail £50 or lose access to e-mail in one week SHOCKING SERVICE

20 years a TalkTalk customer

8 days deadline pay £50 or lose ability to send e-mails. Everymail has my e-mail address now and they will purge it unless I pay.

3 hours online help with 4 operatives who could not tell me what e-mail was associated with the account. But the talktalk e-mail I've been using for decades was associated with an old account.

I've been instructed to pay Everymail and when (no date can be given) TalkTalk mailbox in MyAccount is available (I'm serious when no operative could tell me when this function will be available) I have to add it to the mailbox in MyAccount. TalkTalk can't do anything to help.

TalkTalk do NOT have the ability to add this e-mail I've been using for decades to my NEW account because Mailbox is not available in MYAccount page and they don't know when it will be available.

I asked for a free e-mail address, there must be a way to generate a new free address that I can link to this new account I've been on since 2021. NO, I have to add e-mail address to MyAccount MAILBOX but this function is currently not available and you must pay £50.

I asked how I could get my £50 back and they said start a new online chat when I've paid. I have the whole 3 hour online chat sent to me at end of conversation. I've read it again because I couldn't believe what they wrote and the only conclusion is they are a bunch of blithering idiots: contradicting themselves, lies, confused and ultimately a waste of time.

General advice from other forums is DONT EVER USE e-mail address provided by an ISP.

8 days to change any online accounts set up with TalkTalk e-mail. INCLUDING the one that let's me log into my account with them.

Time is running out GMail or LIVE.COM e-mail  or even others like HotMAIL is the only option.

MOVE/send all important e-mails out of your TalkTalk mail NOW

Hello @kanya-TT

I replied to a private message, asking me again for my account details early this morning.

I will just wait and see, then update in a few days (probably next week) if there's anything else happening with the e-mail.

Thank you

Completing the details in Private Notes and posting about it here was the process issued formally to the community forum, @BobtheMul so you did the right thing.

No idea why @amahle-TT or @siphosethu-TT did not go straight there to get the webform processed for you. Hopefully they will explain.

However, even those where the webform was completed well in advance have had problems with the process thereafter, such as emails not sending, which is slowly being resolved at a seemingly individual level.

From the 29th of March our TalkTalk Community will move to peer-to-peer support and the TalkTalk team will no longer be here to support with queries. Don’t worry we still have plenty of ways to reach out if you need to speak to TalkTalk directly. For more details check out the link in the post at the top of any forum message board.

Maybe this might help other users

I followed instructions posted in the forum and got great help from community star: fr8ys on where to put my account details and where my private notes could be located.

It has been two and a half weeks from the start of this post and just today I have (just today) been asked for my account details from STAFF. It seems very clear that following advice of adding account details in your profile account details was pointless if STAFF have to ask you for your account details two and a half weeks later.

For everyone else going through this, please post your solution to this is if you've found one BUT I suspect with myself only being offered paying £50 or  waiting for help that never comes most users who want to keep their e-mail have given up and paid £50 for something the were told was free if you are a customer

No contact about how my only talktalk.net e-mail can be saved from deletion OTHER than the £50 payment to Everymail and no way to link that e-mail to my TalkTalk account because the MAILBOX function is not available in myACCOUNT (yet). There is no indication when the function to add an e-mail to myACCOUNT will be available.

The only "comms" from TalkTalk have stated: PAY £50 for a service that we claim you should have for free or don't and then lose access to your e-mail.

I've checked my live.com e-mail and all spam/junk files

No private chat messages

No mobile phone contact

No letter in the post

Hello,

An E-mail communication was sent to my talktalk address 17/7/25: from info@consumer.talktalk.co.uk

It was stating that I had to sign up to Everymail to keep access to this e-mail. It contradicted the statements that broadband customers get 5 e-mails with their account. My talktalk e-mail address is in my PRIVATE NOTES here and is my user name for my current broadband account.

I have had no further communication in any form through any address/mobile/private chat.

@BobtheMul

I totally understand your anxiety, but starting multiple topics won't help I'm afraid. This has been flagged up to the support team, please give them a chance to respond.

Hello,

Could somebody from the support team please acknowledge if there is something that could be done before I lose access to sending mail from my talktalk address e-mail, please?

I've completed the account information here and...

I've followed the steps in the guide about adding the address from my old account to my new account to my private notes here.

BUT, the time limit of 28th JULY 2025 is getting me very anxious.

Please can someone from the support team let me know if something is likely going change before the deadline.

If my ability to send e-mails is taken away on the 28th JULY 2025 I will struggle to move all services that have this TalkTalk e-mail as login/account holder.

You don't "send" it as such, you just have a space to enter the details. Does this link help?

  • Within your Profile there is a field for Private Notes, that only you and Staff Members can view. In this field list every TalkTalk and legacy email addresses you wish to be linked to your account.

There is no field for "PRIVATE NOTES"  Within my profile. Does it mean to say Private Messages? In Profile there is a tab that allows Private messages and that's on in Profile - But where is the Private NOTES? Please

If I want to send a private note where can I find NOTES, please?

I can send a private Message (I'm guessing that's the same) but I don't know who to send it too
