Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

An email arrived today from Everymail. I had never heard of this company and assumed that it was a scam. It said I must update my details or my account would be deleted. I checked online and discovered that Talktalk had transferred to Everymail. I tried following the instructions in the email without success. I then wasted time with an Everymail bot who told me to contact Talktalk. Further time wasted talking to Talktalk's bot. Eventually persuaded it to put me on the list for a phone call from a real person. My complaint is that Talktalk have failed to keep me informed and Everymail's email was entirely unhelpful. Since upgrading to fibre broadband I have been happy with Talktalk but now I'm thinking it's time to leave after many years.

@Jehu4419 I can see that you still have an active broadband account with us so I will need you ask you few questions. Please confirm if you are able to send and receive emails.

@nambuso-TT, please ensure that the responses show as replies to the OP to keep the line of communication in the thread absolutely clear.
The above looks as though it was intended for me, and I don't need anyone looking into my service....!

@Jehu4419, scammers are exploiting the fact that Talktalk no longer offers Mailplus or support for legacy email addresses (where customers have left but kept their access via webmail).
Those customers do need to subscribe to Everymail.
All current customers of Talktalk with ongoing Talktalk related addresses are not affected, so anything you receive purporting to be from Everymail is a scam.
I've received at least one a month, and Talktalk's own spam spotters are letting this slip through to the inbox. Very poor, as these emails, automatically forwarded to Gmail, are spotted as Spam by Gmail, not by Talktalk.
Check the sender of the email... hover over the name, or if you move it to Spam, does it show the true sender's email address?
