Have recently had my TalkTalk e-mail hacked and incoming messages diverted to a g-mail of address with a misspelling of my surname. Is there any way of turning off the availability of redirecting e-mails or is a facility that TalkTalk needs to withdraw?

Hi Chas47, the first thing to do. Is to run a good quality AntiVirus and Malware scan on all your internet connected devices. Once that's done reset your password. If your Password Reset Details have been changed from your settings send me a Personal Message with the affected email address, alternate email address and mobile number and I'll get the Password Reset Tool updated for you.

Same thing happened to me after my TalkTalk email account was hacked by a virus. In my case all incoming emails were being redirected to a non-existent Outlook address. Open the TalkTalk Webmail window and look above the Inbox for a line which reads Autoforwarding is active. Open that and you should see where your emails are being redirected to. Change the path to your correct email address, click on Apply changes. Send a test email to your email address then check your inbox to confirm that it has worked. It would be nice to receive feedback on my suggestion.
