Hi there @bhbarton, please make sure everything is as shown in the link below when it comes to your settings. Once that is complete we can run checks on your services if it still gives you issues. Thanks

If I set my laptop,which does work, to @talktalk it does not connect to the server, so therefore it is @Tiscali which is what it has always been but talk talk don't have this setting on their guide. I don't understand it either.

Thank you for the support @ferguson 🙂

No worries @mandisa1-TT, they need to set up the server details exactly as shown in the help article and reiterated by myself above.

I understand @ferguson however this is a third-party issue, as @bhbarton confirmed webmail is working correctly with the current settings and has also tried the settings on the guide however she still cannot send emails using the third-party app. However I would appreciate any advice from you on this

The username and address may well be abc123@tiscali.co.uk, but not the server settings.

In which case their settings are wrong!

That is correct @ferguson, as per the email settings guide, however @bhbarton uses a Tiscali and confirmed his settings have always been imap@tiscali

@mandisa1-TT

Should not all TalkTalk mail server settings be mail.talktalk.net for incoming and smtp.mail.talktalk.net for outgoing, regardless of origin?

As it is working on webmail it seems to be a third-party issue, your settings are correct @ tiscali you can return to them. My advice would be please continue using webmail.

My server  is imap@tiscali not talktalk as your guide to settings says, it has always been @Tiscali. Have tried the settings on your guide to setting up using @talktalk and that doesn't work either

We are unable to assist with third party Apps, as you have confirmed you were able to send a test email on webmail. However we can only try and offer general assistance.

I have used webmail this morning to do a test and that has sent.  I use aquamail on the phones but have tried outlook and nothing will send from phones. I have deleted the account on the phones and reloaded  but still won't send from either phone

We will need to complete diagnostic checks to detect if there is any fault. Just to confirm are you using webmail?
