TalkTalk Mail does not use Multi Factor Authentication for the mailbox sign in so it is important to use a unique ultra strong password and to keep your device security up to date and protected against password capturing virus, trojan and all other types of malware.
TalkTalk offers a TalkTalk Online Defence subscription that also includes a Password Manager.
TalkTalk Mail includes a Security feature that allows users to view all devices that are or have signed in to the mailbox. If you don't recognise any particular device then you can sign out that device and if concerned then change the mailbox password.
If you don't use a Password Manager or forget your password then TalkTalk Mail has password recovery options of an alternative email address and mobile 'phone to receive your password reset link or code. But you must set up these password recovery options, known as Reset details, in advance so they are there when you need them.
