Is it possible to unlock my email address as well please. I've had an IT specialist change my IMAP access to SSL as I hadn't seen any messages non-SSL access was being retired and being retired myself it would have all been a bit beyond me anyway. If you could send me a private message I will reply with my email as every other non public method of help I try I seem to end up here anyway.

Ah, I requested restore of IMAP access on 31 January. But I see this topic has not been responded to by TalkTalk Support. I'll push another reminder into their workflow but sorry to say that this will not get picked up until after the weekend.
Just continue with using webmail until you see a TalkTalk response here.

Many Thanks. Yes the iPad was a present for Christmas so is up to date and configured for SSL now.

OK, not a definitive answer on whether the iPad is compatible for secure mail so we'll hope that your IT specialist has made all the necessary changes and the iPad is modern enough to support secure mail to the minimum standard required by TalkTalk. If there is still a security issue then mail will not be received when full access is restored. But you can still use an Internet browser to access your mailbox whilst we help resolve any ongoing issues.
I'll add a guide below so you can check the iPad setup if you wish.

I'm using Apple mail on an iPad. It was set to non SSL email but this has now been changedl.

Prepare for TalkTalk Support - include in the Community Profile (not in these public posts):

Check your email address is working via webmail for both send and receive. Compose and send a message to test-mail@talktalk.net to get an auto response back into the Inbox.
Select here: Sign in to TalkTalk Mail
Enter your full TalkTalk Mail email address and password, select Sign in.
We can request your email mailbox IMAP access is restored. Your email client must be capable of secure email to a minimum of TLS 1.2 encryption standard on all devices you use and we like to be assured that you will use only secure mail from here on.
So let us know what mail collection services and or devices you use to access your mailbox, what the operating system is and what the email software version is.
