I am configuring a new computer and was instructed to contact my internet provider to obtain the IP address and port of the PROXY server in the LAN, it was supposed to be in my contract with TALK TALK, but it wasn't

If you are unsure of your phone number, you can find this in My Account or dial 17070 from your landline phone and this will confirm the number for you.
You can also add your account number in the private notes field, which only you and the support staff can view.

Are you using a TalkTalk router or is it a third party router you are trying to set up, or is it something within your new computer that requires this this and if do what program or application.
I've recently set up a new PC myself and didn't need this, do a bit more info would be appreciated.
