Hi,
I have a problem where a lot of my incoming emails are being sent to the spam folder. None of these are actually spam. I have Thunderbird set up on my computer to collect my mail from Talktalk but it will only get mail from the Talktalk inbox. I keep having to log into talktalk webmail just to move my mail from Spam to Inbox.
Can you either fix your spam filtering or disable it please?

Everyone, Some emails from a sender go to the Inbox and some from the same sender to Spam.

Thank you, are you having problems receiving emails from everyone, or just an individual or single domain name (e.g. @gmail.com)?

Keith,
Thanks for your suggestion. It gave me a clue as to why I couldn't do what you suggested. I added another account to Thunderbird that accessed talktalk email using IMAP. That then allowed me to run the rule on the remote folder on the talktalk server and it appears to works.
I'm not quite sure how well the IMAP account will play with the POP3 access but I'll work that out! I like to have my emails on my computer and not on talktalk's server.
Thanks.

Yes, my internet access is working.

Keith,
Thank you for that suggestion. I have tried to do what you did and copy your rule. However, when I get to the Perform these actions: bit, I only have access to the ;ocal Thunderbird folders and not the remote talktalk mailbox. Do you think I am doing something wrong or could it be due to my confiduration? I am access talktalk mailbpc using POP3.

Thanks, I'll take note of that. Can you check your TalkTalk Internet access for me now and let me know if it works? You can do this by trying to reload the site or application you were experiencing problems with or trying to search for something on the Internet. Thanks

Hopefully, although the problem is not with Thunderbird, it is clearly with TalkTalk's spam filters, this might move all emails from Spam to the Inbox to allow them to be manually checked. The beauty with Thunderbird is that these rules are highly configurable.

I'm really sorry about the inconvenience, we are currently getting a volume of customers having issues with thunderbird, so I had to make sure. Thanks

Hi @aircraft
This is what I setup in Thunderbird (post #19):-

Let me be clear. The issue has nothing to do with Thunderbird. It seems to suggest that you still don't really know what I'm complaining about.
Emails arrive at my talktalk mailbox. Lots of them get sent to the Spam folder rather than the Inbox. If I don't manually move the ones in the Spam folder to the Inbox, I can't download them using Thunderbird (because it only downloads email from the talktalk Inbox) and they will be automatically deleted after 30 days.
So the issue of emails going to the Spam folder of my talktalk mailbox can't possibly be anything to do with Thunderbird. It happens whether I access my email or not. Do you understand?

Do you want to receive email about MyConnection ? Thanks

I'm still running checks on the issue so please stay with me. Thanks

Please try accessing your emails via webmail on your computer and check if it gives you any issues, I want to identify if the issue is with us or thunderbird itself. Just try accessing your emails via webmail and test if it gives you the same issue. Please let me know how it goes. Thanks
