Hello All,

I have been speaking with TalkTalk for 8 months now trying to get the old email accounts linked to my current broadband account. I saw the post https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Email/Important-information-about-changes-to-your-TalkTalk-Email... and hope this can now be completed asap with the relevant information in the profile.

Thanks!

Dear @siphosethu-TT, thank you for replying. However, I think you have not read or understood the situation. I am an active broadband account holder and these details are in the private notes of my profile.

Thanks you.

You can just back up all your important information, but how you can go about this is simple.

Part of that change is that our active email users, who are not broadband customers, are being transitioned to sign up to EveryMail, an Open-Xchange (OX) email product. The inactive orphan email users will be deleted soon after this movement.

Before these changes happen, we are sending customer comms in phases to let them know about this and their options, ensuring minimal impact for all. If you don't have an open broadband account, I would advise you pay for the emails. Thanks

Hi @Mandisa-TT thank you for replying to me. I have not received the email, but in conversations with your colleagues I have had emails telling me I would have to pay for TalkTalk MailPlus. I did not want a new account but I was forced to get one and then TalkTalk colleagues told me I couldn't have the email addresses transferred and the only way to keep them was to pay more money!

I am worried with the looming deadlines which have been spoken about on the forums that I am going to lose them

Hi @longtimers44 thank you for bringing this into our attention, I'm sorry about what you went through, just to confirm you did not received the email about the moment of emails and that you will be charged for it?

Hello,

Thank you for replying. As far as I can see I haven't received an email. However, I cannot log into the Email Manager to check on the new account - it has never worked since the change! It does work for the old account. I suspect they are still linked to the old account.

In my constant back and forth with TalkTalk, I have been told they can't be linked and I would have to pay for TalkTalk Mail Plus even though I pay more for broadband with them [which makes no sense business wise]. I have raised multiple complaints on this and have got no where with this.

The email addresses still work and have been told they might still work up to 2 years but I would like more reassurance I can keep them.

The one thing I have noticed is ever since the change in account I have received much more SPAM than before on the emails.

It would be great if I could speak to some one who can solve this as even raising it to a manager has not got anywhere!

Thanks!

Hi,

Have you had the email?

If not that suggests that your emails are linked.

For I do you no longer manage these through My Account but via Email Manager.

Staff will be able to look for you later.
