Linking my email account to my Broadband

I want to access my emails from my desk top and not log into webmail online - how is this done please?

Your heading does suggest another issue from your text, so if you are experiencing any issues with actually accessing your emails or sending them, have you received an email suggesting you need to subscribe to Everymail..

I assume at present that you are logging into Webmail via your Web Browser. Is this correct?

 

To access without using your Browser you will need to use a third party e-mail programme such as Thunderbird. There are many such programmes so you will need to research them to see which you wish to use.

 

Once installed, you will need to set up your email account within the programme using the settings found here.

 

IMAP settings are preferable.

 

Note: many people are though experiencing issues when sending and receiving emails to Hotmail and Gmail emails at the present using third party programmes, so advice from Support Staff is to use Webmail. I'm not saying you will experience such issues, but it's best to be aware of such issues.
