Ask us about your TalkTalk email account and Webmail.

I recently changed my password for my TalkTalk account. Can you inform me if my password has also changed for my TalkTalk mail account. I ask this as I have been receiving numerous scam emails & I have found out that my account had a data breach in March 2019 & was hoping that a change of password would stop the scam emails.
Please email me with this information & advise if the scam emails should stop with a changed password.
Can you also advise me of what information was gained at the data breach.

@Stevestumpped, none of us can email you and no community stars can access this sort of vital information for you.
Your email address password should always be different from your Talktalk account password - basically you should never use the same password for more than one purpose as if it's stolen, the thieves will try it on other accounts you might use.

But if the email address was simply harvested, you can change the password as often as you like - scammers will still send as much Spam etc to your address as they like. They may also spoof your address to send spam and you'll sometimes see things arriving as though from you.
If the password was previously also stolen, you would possibly have seen strange messages sent to people on your address list. It's so long ago now, if you didn't notice strange "sent" messages leaving your inbox, it probably wasn't accessed back then.
Meanwhile the phishing scams tend to arrive in waves. Then quieter periods. Just make sure everything suspicious is marked as Spam and delete it.
